"Eastpak Throwdown" has become known as one of the most exciting nights out in London since its birth in 2004. Throwdown is a night of two halves; the first half being the incredible breakin’, popping, locking, house dance, tapdance, graffiti, DJ, MC, beatbox, and even poledance competitions for cash and clothing prizes; and the second half being DJ sets and live PA’s from some of the finest acts on the hip hop scene including artists such as The Streets, Ken Swift, Afica Bambaataa, The Cuban Brothers, Jehst, Mr. Thing, Alien Ness, Phi Life Cypher, Beardyman (UK beatbox champ) Mixologists (World DMC champs), MK, Skinnyman, and The Cuban Brothers.

Eastpak Throwdown is unlike anything you have ever seen before, offering a complete blend of every aspect of the hip hop/ b-boy scene and featuring appearances from some of the worlds best dancers from places such as Japan, France, and America who all make there way to Plan B in Brixton to throwdown, battle each other, and party till the AM! The night was the brain child of DJ Donna Dee, who along with her creative partner and host of the night, Charlie Morley (MC Mystery), created the night out of a wish to make a hip hop/ breakin’ night which was more about what you are, than what you wear. Throwdown has to be seen to be believed, and until you’ve seen a guy flip a somersault from a one handed handstand, you aint seen nothing!

Throwdown is an official EASTPAK event (www.eastpak.com) and takes place on the second Thursday of every month at Plan B, Brixton.
